HM, you've got quite the incentive program going on here with the PS contest! Bravo!

What's the contest for though? What's the vision behind it? Is it, say, to create a website with more practical information about PS, or a community of PS users? I would be more apt to jump in if I knew more context for the contest!

The site looks great.

Hey, Tara! I like the revisions you've made to your blog! It's looking great! Can you provide step-by-step instructions on how to make a picture video like the one you made?

Keep up the good work!

Very interesting and overall I enjoyed it. Personally I enjoyed the slow music with the matching transitions (slow and smooth). The faster music and faster (explosgin transitions) would be great for a big party/concert event. But I did enjoy it. Thank you for sharing.

Perhaps it's just a matter of preference, but I'd lead in with the title & date info rather than ending with it. And as many others have already commented, the transitions need to be faster. Not a bad first effort though, and I'm sure it would make an awesome addition to the thank you notes.

I can't believe how well you were able to make the still images appear to come to life. Great job making the transactions fit into the soundtrack. What technique did you use to create the pixalation of the last image? That was my most favorite part! Keep up the great work!

The video is nicely done, Tara. The bride is especially beautiful; nice-looking couple, and wonderful setting! Is this at Colorado Springs?

In the video, I would shorten the transitions, or vary the transition length. As already mentioned, cross-fade the music. Also, you might consider some picture motion (sometimes called the Ken Burns effect). This makes picture videos even better.

There is a nice program with motion for pictures, Photo Story 3, free download from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/photostory/default.mspx

I used to do wedding videos for hire (and have a broadcast television background). I should capture a couple samples to put on my portfolio site.

When I get my blog working, I will invite you over! Keep up the good work!

Good first home movie. If you used Windows Movie Maker there are some effects to help make the music transition a little smoother. I also wouldn't recommend leaving a picture up for more than 2-3 seconds. Great way to share your memories!

I love the pictures used in this video. The transition of songs could have been smoother, but your choice was excellent! I have never seen picture fade in and out of pixilation...nice technique!

I noticed there was some lightening of some of the men's faces. I assume this is because they were in the shade with a dark background behind them? The ability to manipulate lighting up a face in Photoshop is pretty tough. I've tried it a few times and haven't been able to blend the nude colors. Does anybody have suggestions?
